Our first field trip of the year was one centered around serving our community. On October 8th we went to City Rescue Mission (Jacksonville) to help sort the donations received at their Thrift Store. We learned so much!
The Thrift Store is ran by 8 employees and each of them wear multiple hats and help in any area of the store needed. Even the Manager and Assistant Manager are on the truck making deliveries or 'on the floor'. Each employee boldly admits that their success is all because of God's favor.
By selling items at their store, they are able to feed over 400 homeless persons a day! This feat is possible through the sale of a lot of $2.99 items!
Here are a few photos of our kids helping to process the donations received at City Rescue Mission.
